ITINERARY
Day : 1 Arrival at Cochin International Airport/Railway station – Munnar
Arrival at Cochin Airport/Railway station. Meet our Representative and Transfer to Munnar Hotel. Munnar -The so called “tea garden hill station of kerala”. On the way visit vallara and cheeyappara waterfalls and Blossom Garden. Evening, enjoy the beauty of tea garden. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day : 2 Munnar SS (Kulukkumalai Jee safari)
Early Mordning Proceed to Suryanelli for Jeep Safari. Kolukkumalai by jeeps to witness and experience nature’s ultimate fireworks of awe- the sunrise over mountain tops, the inhale of pure high altitude air, the rare experience of the antiquated orthodox manufacturing process of tea and the sheer scenic marvels of mountain tops- the paradise on heavens.
Kolukkumalai is the world’s highest elevation tea plantation at 7900 feet msl. Kolukkumalai is without argument one of the world’s most beautiful scenic destinations. Started in the early 1900s the estate produces tea using the orthodox method in the time tested tea factory. Little has changed here since the colonial planters left leaving behind their legacy of one of the best quality tea you can get in South India.
- For Sunrise : Starting time from Suryanelli is 4:00 am , maximum 2 Hr off road drive to top point of Kolukumali ,
- Normal sunrise time : 5:45 – 6 : 45 am
Back to Hotel , After breakfast Proceed for Sightseeing of Munnar. Visit Eravikulam National Park to view endangered wild goat ‘ Nilgiri Tahr’. Visit Tea Museum and the Tea factory (Closed on Mondays and Good Friday) , Mattupetty Dam and Kundala Lake .Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day : 3 Munnar SS (Chinnar Wild Life Sanctuary Guided Trucking)
After breakfast Proceed for Chinnar Wild Life Sanctuary. At a distance of 58 Kms from Munnar & 17 km from Marayoor, Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary is a rain shadow area of the Western Ghats which gets only 48 days of rain per year. It is under consideration by UNESCO for selection as a World Heritage Site. It is one of the prime attractions to visit as part of wildlife tours in India and top trekking sites in Munnar. After trekking back to Hotel and Over night stay
Day : 4 Munnar to Thekkady
Thekkady is a pleasant heaven on earth for those who love nature in its wild manifestations. Spices are found in abundance in Periyar. Get ready for a spice tour to view the plantations of a wide variety of spices like cardamom, pepper, tea, coffee, cloves, ginger, turmeric, cumin seed, etc. After noon Proceed for Boating at Periyar Wild life Sanctuary. Back to hotel and Overnight stay.
Day 5 : Thekkady (Idukki Dam, Calvary Mount, Anchuruli)
After breakfast proceed to Idukki Dam- Built across the Kuravan and Kurathi hills at a height of about 550 feet, the Idukki Arch Dam is an architectural genius, for the rugged terrain along which it is built. The natural beauty surrounding the dam is breath-taking.
Calvary Mount : Calvary Mount otherwise spelled as Kalvari Mount which is an eco-tourism destination is located 12 km from Idukki and 43 km from Thekkady is a wonderful picnic spot. Better take an SUV vehicle where the vehicle will go top the hill else take a soft trek to the hills. Once you reach the hills awaits you of an eye-catching greenery and a magnificent view of the Idukki reservoir.
The Magical tunnel of Anchuruli – Anchuruli, also spelled Anjuruli, is an emerging tourist destination and a catchment area of Idukki arch dam in Kanchiyar village near Kattappana in the district of Idukki in Kerala state, India. It is highly noted for the 5.5 km (3.4 mi) long circular tunnel that carries water from Erattayar dam near Kattappana to Idukki reservoir

Day : 6 Thekkady to Alleppey
After Breakfast Proceed to Alleppey The “Venice of India”
Experience Alleppey backwaters, one of the must see destinations during a life time, in a houseboat is an experience beyond imagination. The main attraction of Alleppey is criss crossed canals, lagoons, villages on the banks of these canals, paddy fields etc – all these makes Alleppey a much sought after destination among tourists. To see these Alleppey backwaters you need to hire any means of water transport. This program is designed to experience Alleppey backwaters with overnight stay in a private houseboat.
Day : 7 Alleppey – Departure transfer
After breakfast Transfer to Cochin Airport / Railway station. Back to home with sweet memories of your tour.
